As of December 1, 2007 Abbeville General Hospital’s Imaging department has the latest ultrasound software and hardware provided by Seimens Medical on the Sequoia Ultrasound system that significantly enhances the image quality, penetration, and information content.

The Spatial Compounding Plus enhancement is a real time compounding technique. It applies multiple lines of sight to improve contrast resolution and boarder detection resulting in increased diagnostic confidence by elevating the image detail. Primary applications include breast, thyroid, testicle, musculoskeletal imaging, vascular imaging, abdominal, OB and pelvic imaging and also neonatal abdominal imaging.
