Outpatient Services

The Outpatient Department at Abbeville General Hospital includes Day Surgery, Pain Management Clinic and Parenteral Therapy/Ambulatory Clinic.

Day Surgery
Outpatient surgery is one of the most progressive concepts in hospital care today; It is a safe, low-cost alternative to patients needing surgical or diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, ENT surgery, urological surgery and gynecological surgery including the new Therma Choice Surgery for females. Patients who qualify for day surgery are admitted, treated and generally released the same day. Our staff provides nursing care for patients of all ages requiring minor surgical or diagnostic procedures.

Parenteral Therapy/ Ambulatory Clinic
The Parenteral Therapy/Ambulatory Clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM , and provides various medical services including, but not limited to:

• Infusion therapy for cardiac patients, patients with rheumatoid arthritis and patients suffering from long term infections.
• Cardiac drips
• IV Antibiotics
• IM Antibiotics
• Administration of blood and blood products
• Bone marrow biopsies
• Phlebotomies
• Diabetic Self Management Education

The Outpatient Department is located on the 2 nd Floor, south.

The department is staffed with highly skilled registered and licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistant, and offers services Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM .
