Medical Surgical Inpatient Care

Abbeville General Hospital provides inpatient services for a full range of medical and surgical conditions and across all ages. Nurses are on duty 24 hours a day to assess your needs, communicate with your doctor and provide care and treatment. Our staff is able to provide a skilled level of care with that personal touch.

The Medical Surgical Inpatient Care Units consist of:

• A 23-bed Medical/Surgical Unit located on the 3rd Floor North, which includes adult, pediatric, observation and swing bed. Care is provided to adult patients that are acute and/or chronically ill.

• A Pediatric Wing located on the West wing of the 3rd Floor North. This unit provides patient focused nursing care to infant, pediatric and adolescent patients.

• An 10-bed Telemetry Medical/Surgical Unit located on the 3rd Floor North. Services are provided to patients in the post intensive care phase or diagnostic phase of medical/surgical conditions.

Our team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Unit Secretaries strive to provide a therapeutic and safe environment to meet your physical, emotional, psycho-social and spiritual needs.
